AI & Synthetic Media Policy

How Ambic uses AI while preserving consent, product truth and human accountability.

Effective and last updated: 18 July 2026

Human accountability

AI may assist with research, segmentation, editing, generation, matching, classification and drafting. It does not replace the customer’s product approval, authorised financial review, professional advice or Ambic’s responsibility to operate reasonable safeguards.

Catalogue fidelity

In Faithful Catalogue mode, the product itself must not be materially redrawn. Backgrounds, crops, lighting presentation and shadows may change, but product colour, quantity, dimensions, components, labels, logos and material appearance must remain faithful to the source. Every commercial output requires customer review before publication.

Creative Reimagination is a separate mode. If it materially changes a product or depicts a synthetic scene or person, it must be identified as AI-generated or digitally altered wherever the result could otherwise mislead a reasonable viewer.

Synthetic people and digital representations

  • Do not imitate a real person, celebrity or public figure without documented authority and consent.
  • A real person’s face, voice or likeness requires written, purpose-specific permission and approval before release.
  • Synthetic endorsers must not be represented as real customers or as having used a product.
  • Ambic does not support deceptive political media, non-consensual intimate imagery or identity fraud.
  • Ambic may require identity verification, releases, scripts and source records before processing.

Labels and provenance

Where an output qualifies as realistic synthetically generated information, Ambic will use visible disclosure and available provenance metadata or identifiers appropriate to the medium and workflow. Customers must not remove required labels or metadata or publish an output in a misleading context.

Routine good-faith correction that does not materially distort the source may be described as AI-assisted editing without implying that the depicted product or event is synthetic.

Providers and model licences

Production workflows use only models and providers whose terms permit the intended commercial use. Ambic maintains a model register covering model name, version, provider, licence, intended use and review date. Non-commercial weights may be evaluated privately but must not be used to fulfil paid customer work.

Providers can produce similar outputs for different users and may generate inaccurate or objectionable results. Provider ownership, data handling, safety and indemnity terms vary; applicable provider conditions flow through to the relevant service where necessary.

Restricted decisions

Ambic AI features must not make final decisions about employment, credit, insurance, healthcare, legal rights, criminality or access to essential services. Payment Auditor confidence scores are decision support only; uncertain or exceptional matches require authorised human review.
